The Reverie Saigon plans
September grand opening
The Rever ie Saigon, one of the world’s most eagerly anticipated new
hotels, has set a date for its grand opening – September 1.
The 286-room property anchors the 39-storey Times Square
building in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1.While
the exter ior exudes sleek contemporary appeal, the inter ior is
an exploration of Italian extravagance, from rooms and suites
individually appointed by the finest Italian decorators to public
spaces both dazzling and whimsical.
“With this hotel, we have tried to create an experience of
accommodation that is so singular, so splendid and so unexpected
in the one-time Pearl of the Orient that the hotel becomes a place
that stays with guests long after they’ve checked-out,” said Herbert
Laubichler-Pichler, the Austrian general manager (and vice president of
operations for WMC Group) whose roots in Vietnam go back to 2008.
Seven years in the making, the hotel heralds the dawn of a new
day in hospitality for Vietnam. Where previous debuts have sought
reference to Vietnam’s colonial-era aesthetics and East Asian roots,
The Rever ie Saigon is a transcendent gesture that invokes palaces
Three of the hotel’s restaurants – The Royal Pavilion (Chinese),
R&J (Italian) and Café Cardinal (French) – are destinations in their
own r ight, each a captivating work of elegance, each driven by lofty
Additionally,Times Square building is home to The Rever ie
Residence – 89 one- and two-bedroom, full-service, extended-stay

The hotel’s location in downtown Ho Chi Minh City – or Saigon
as it’s still commonly called – is as exquisitely placed as its inter ior
appointments. The city’s histor ic Lam Son Square, City Hall and
the banks of the Saigon River are within a five-minute walk while
Notre Dame Cathedral, Reunification Palace and the Museum of
Ho Chi Minh City all lie within a kilometre of the hotel.
Kiwis love using ecostore products. The growing popular ity of the
brand combined with meeting consumer demand, has led to the
creation of a new amenities range in partnership with Health Pak
that is designed specifically for the accommodation sector.
“The ability to provide people travelling both domestic and
inter national with a range of bathroom amenity products with safer
ingredients that won’t compromise your health or the planet, is
an extension of our product offer ing to ecostore customers,” says
Malcolm Rands, founder and Chief Executive Officer ecostore. “We
hope these small versions of our toiletr ies will make people love
their holiday accommodation even more.”
The amenities range consists of five products, with packaging

“Reynolds’ less is more philosophy on art reflects the elegance
of our for mulations. We follow the Einstein principle that the most
elegant solution is often the most simple. The products will truly add
a touch of sophistication to any ensuite,” says Rands.
Jimi Kennedy-Grant from Health Pak views the synergies
between ecostore as a leader in sustainability, and Health Pak as
“Health Pak has been at the forefront of making our products as
environmentally friendly as possible, long before it was popular or
even a widely raised issue. We also lead the way with our degradable
packaging and soap recycling programs so it really is a natural fit for us
to be working with ecostore with their no nasty chemicals policy and
100% recyclable packaging using renewable sugarcane-based plastic.”
Kennedy-Grant is noticing more and more the hospitality industry
is demanding safer and more environmentally friendly products.
“Largely driven by customer demand, we are seeing more
and more requests for products that are not only good for the
environment, but good for us. We are absolutely thrilled to be able
to offer our hospitality partners an ecostore bathroom amenity
range. I‚m confident it’s going to be a hugely popular range.”
The ecostore amenities range is avialable for purchase through
Health Pak and its distributors.
